Christmas Stockings for the Incarcerated

Donate Snickers & Stockings to provide holiday cheer to people incarcerated

Snickers Fireplace

HELP Adult Services is now accepting regular size Snickers candy bars and stocking donations for the Christmas Stockings for the Incarcerated project, which has provided stockings filled with snacks for people incarcerated in correctional facilities in Omaha and the surrounding area, including Clarinda, for over 20 years. For some of the incarcerated, these stockings are the only gift they will receive this holiday season. Last year, the project provided over 2,700 snack-filled stockings to adults and juveniles.

1.86 oz Snickers bar for the incarcerated

1.86 oz Snickers candy bar

Regular size Snickers candy bars weigh 1.86 ounces. All donations are accepted at HELP Adult Services’ office in The Center Mall, 1941 S 42nd St., in Suite 200. All donations are tax-deductible. The deadline for donations of Snickers candy bars is November 30th.

Each year, HELP Adult Services receives many thank-you letters. Here is what two people had to say last year about their stockings:

There is very little hope and compassion here, especially at Christmas, but that is exactly what those stockings provided!” –AR

Thank you for showing care around the holidays because this has been the most difficult time in my life.” –ED
