Caring for the Caregiver

Over 50 million people provide care for chronically ill, disabled or aged family members during any given year, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Seventeen percent of family caregivers provide 40 hours or more of care a week, according to a study by the National Alliance for Caregiving and AARP. Respite is necessary for the health and well-being of these caregivers.  Here at HELP Adult Services we offer a volunteer-based program that provides valuable respite for caregivers.  If you or someone you know are in need of respite or you would like to volunteer for our program, please contact us at 402-341-6559, ext. 102.
