We need your help to HELP others! Right now, a fundraiser is underway to improve the safety and reliability of deliveries by replacing HELP Adult Services’ current truck for a Cargo Van. We aim to raise $10,000 by March 31st. We need your help to reach this ambitious goal, and your involvement is greatly appreciated.
HELP Cargo Van

To service the Omaha-Council Bluffs metropolitan area, HELP Adult Services relies on a truck to deliver, set up, and service medical equipment. The current delivery truck is not dependable to keep up with the increasing demand. HELP Adult Services is seeking contributions to purchase a safe and reliable Cargo Van to meet the  growth of requests.

The Great Truck Drive

This is The Great Truck Drive because our delivery drivers hear the word “Great” all of the time from the people we serve.

“It’s great that you deliver and set up the equipment!”
“This will be a great help!”
“I felt a great sense of relief when I saw your truck pull up.”

With a new delivery vehicle, our drivers will hear “Great” more often! We will be able to increase deliveries, expand our delivery area, and get twice the miles per gallon as our current truck.

Saving on gas makes all donations go much further!

Let’s replace the gas-guzzler for a fuel-efficient Cargo Van! The Cargo Van can travel twice as many miles per gallon as the current truck. That’s a fact: 2x the current MPG. With less money going into the gas tank, HELP will be able to pass the savings on to the families and individuals we serve, who are at times under heavy emotional and financial stress due to unforeseen medical and health emergencies.

“The current truck is on its last leg!”

With the current delivery truck, HELP Adult Services cannot meet the increasing need for deliveries. This is how our deliveries impact families:

“I live out-of-state, and my Dad needed a hospital bed, toilet seat riser, and a 4-wheeled walker after his accident. My Mom is homebound and needs constant supervision from my Dad. They have a fixed income and no way to pick up and set up a hospital bed. Thank you so much for delivering and setting up the hospital bed and toilet seat riser for my parents. I feel helpless being away, but now I know they are going to be able to stay home and take care of each other, which is what they always wanted.”

Over the last year, the delivery truck has been to a mechanics’ shop 3 times. Each time, HELP had to postpone all deliveries. Donate today, and let’s put an end to postponing deliveries!
