Being “Green”

Not only does the Health & medical Equipment Loan Program help those who need equipment, but it also helps the communities by accepting the donation of durable medical equipment and supplies, thus keeping these materials out of the area landfills.

Equipment donations are tax deductible:

All donated items are tax deductible when itemizing deductions for federal income taxes. HELP Adult Services is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Donors receive written acknowledgement to use for their documentation.

What is not accepted as a donation?

All items must be in good working condition for us to accept as a donation.

Can items for donation be picked up?

There is a charge for this service based on round-trip mileage.

The Impact of your Donation

Looking for a fun sewing project and A way to give to others?

cgquilt

HELP Adult Services: a Presbyterian community outreach is seeking help to provide all persons who are nominated for Caregiver of the Year with a lap quilt (42" x 42") at our annual Caregiver of the Year event.

What is needed:

-    Your time

-    Your sewing talent

-    Material (any design you wish)

-    A quilt design (again, you choose the design), Size 42" x 42"

-    A desire to show someone that they are appreciated for  being a caregiver

One person is chosen for the Caregiver of the Year, but it is our intent to make the evening special for all nominated caregivers. They will receive a free evening for themselves and their family with music and entertainment. Then, at the end of the evening, we wish to present them with a homemade lap quilt to show them that the community recognizes their contributions they make every day.

Please consider giving the gifts of your time and sewing talent. We need all lap quilts completed by November 2012.

An Opportunity to Honor Our Founders

On August 1st, HELP Adult Services; a Presbyterian community outreach will have a new home in The Center on 42nd & Center. This move gives us the opportunity to create a Caregiver Media Center within the Conference Room. This room will be multi-fuctional to serve the meeting needs of volunteers and staff, as well as become a valuable resource for Caregiver support.

Our founders had the vision of "An Intentional Future" with the services of Respite, Health & medical Equipment Loan Program, Christmas Stockings and many other services.

To honor the foresight and generosity of our Founders, we indend to dedicate the Caregiver Media Center/Conference room to them. Our goal is to raise $10,000 in their honor.

Please consider contribuiting to this dedication by contacting Emily at 402-341-6559 x100
