HELP Adult Services’
accomplishments serve as a unique community model for
individuals requiring health and human service assistance.
HELP Adult Services is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that
is celebrating its 30th anniversary (read the
History). The organization
focuses mainly on those in need with low or moderate income, and
offers service to all persons with disabilities and/or a chronic
illness regardless of race, religion, gender, or ethnic origin.
There is no prequalification to use our services, everyone is
eligible. This organization is an advocate, ready and waiting
for those who suddenly find they need assistance. Support is
also provided to family members who find they need respite and
assistance. There are no similar programs anywhere within the
metro, and it is also relied upon by those who live across or
out of state.
More than ever, the Omaha/Council Bluffs metropolitan community
is depending on HELP Adult Services.
People are losing their jobs, their insurance, and now,
as in the past, are being referred to HELP Adult Services by
their doctors, physical therapists, assisted living centers,
support groups and medical facilities.
Not a day goes by that we don’t receive a call from a
community health partner inquiring on behalf of a patient, who
is often too ill to call for themselves.

Annually, in mid-December, stockings filled with goodies are
given to the intended recipients – incarcerated adults and youth
residing in 11 area detention centers. Many times this will be
the only gift they will receive. Over 3,000 Christmas stockings
are filled each year.
